According to a survey by PriceGrabber.com affluent shoppers are using mobile phones to shop for goods and services. It makes sense, smart phones are expensive and are purchased more by affluent shoppers so if you own a business that caters to the affluent shopper it's time to consider a mobile marketing strategy.

According to eMarketer, "Based on a report from The Luxury Institute, affluent and ultra-affluent mobile users are more likely to make purchases from their mobile devices. One in five respondents with incomes of at least $150,000 said they did so at least rarely, and among users with net worth of at least $5 million m-commerce was even more popular."

Some of the things  affluent shoppers are using their phones to buy are the same as other shoppers including buying  movie and events tickets, personal electronics but the ultra affluent also use their mobile phones to buy luxury handbags, jewelry, automotive products and designer shoes.
